Whine, whine, whine.

Heh. All the search hits I get on my portfolio site capitalize on my famous name. Nyahaha. Speaking of which, I need to do some maintanance updates... but have so little free time to spend on low priority things.

I was talking to my (grad student) cousin over dinner yesterday, and he told me if I want to get into the digital art industry, best thing to do would be to focus more on learning the industry standards (programs, skills, etc.) rather than get bogged down in schoolwork that won't even be useful once I get out of school. Not that I didn't have a notion of this before, but hearing it from another respected source... not encouraging. I've been trying to appease my mom all this time by being a good Asian girl and doing the studious stuff, but now she's telling me "You want to get into the computer art industry, you figure out what you need to do because I don't know about it", and I'm like NOW YOU TELL ME? After I give up going to an art school or art major, after I give up building my portfolio for cramming formulas into my brain? I feel like I'm wasted my time/chances already. Especially if I want to land a job right out of college because I sure as hell don't want to go to grad school. ^^;;

Man, I really need to switch major to CS because I don't understand the E part at all. ^^;;

Okay, EE homework. Crap. ^^;;

Oh god... allergies bad today. ::SNEEZE::

The lab yesterday went rather well, actually. Our signal-producer-circuit-board-plugger-in-thingie was partly defective, true, and we had to wait to get a good one so we could do the other half of the lab, true, and thus we had to stay until the very end of the lab session, true, but at least I understand the equipments' basic workings now, and I got a check+ on my notebook, and bonded a little bit with lab partners, I'd like to think. =P

Wow, three people have placed me on their watch lists on FF.net. Makes me kinda feel obliged to update =D No time now, but I'm trying! I promise! It'll probably just take another... few... months... years...

Okay, so is it wrong that I keep envisioning a Zelda icon with the lyrics from DDR "A la dee da dah/you are my Hero"...? I've just yet to find the appropriate snarky pics to go with it... ;)
