The air is all smoky and irritating from the fires, though I've heard much worse reports from people at UC Riverside and UCSD. No falling ashes here yet, at least.

This has been a yucky weekend. The shopping trip was fun, but aside from that I haven't gotten anything done that I needed to. Except laundry, maybe.

Job searches, study abroad... why can't I just spend my college life just... doing... y'know, college?

Huh, weird. We had falling ashes here on Friday, but the air is mostly okay now, I think . . . unless that explains my general feeling of unwellness today. c.c

I missed all the fun stuff this weekend (Negative Time Tommy's, alley ordering), and I didn't even get any extra work done to show for it. Buu. Midterms this week, too. *sigh*

Lots of people up here in the Bay Area have been asking their So Cal friends about the fire. My roommate's aunt in Israel even sent her an e-mail because she'd heard it was "some California school" in the fire zone.

Yeah, I've only been out at college for a month, and already I've noticed that I spend more time working on other stuff, especially "administrivia," than academics. Distracting, but more enriching at the same time.
