Hm, still antsy.
Mar. 19th, 2005 10:08 pmThe last of the hijinks from my computer networking book, because the final was today!
A packet that wasn't routed in the correct way:
"The datagram would just die and go to datagram heaven."
::SNIFF SO SAD::
A list of ways the next generation of wireless networking can develop:
"We'd like the [wireless] system to support voice and real-time video over IP, so that we can all wear Dick Tracy watches and video conference with our friends and colleagues, no matter where we are."
Take that Pruneface!
At the end of several paragraphs of thorough discussion on the pros and cons of switches vs. routers:
Finally, there are two different ways to pronounce the word router, either as "rootor" or as "rowter," and people waste a lot of time arguing over the proper pronunciation [Perlman 1999].
AGH WTF ::head explodes::
Don't get me wrong, this actually is a decent textbook. It's just that these things really throw you for a loop when you're trying to study seriously. XP
