HP Tarot card progress - The Lovers (cont.)

The last version of this sketch was pretty lazy because I wanted to put it out for some feedback from you guys. Y'all didn't help :P I'm sticking with this Ginny because more and more it really fits my feel for her.

Anyways, I developed the sketch more and I think it is much more suitable a "working sketch" now.

* Went to the effort of posing hands so they're actually representative now of what I wanted them to do. (Not that it's any easier to see at this scribbly detail.)

* Refined the shape of the tree to make the picture's framing blatantly trite. XP

* Grew some ivy up the tree because it signifies fidelity (apparently). And put a forget-me-not on Ginny's hair clip (which will be impossible to see).

* Gave Ginny a knotted bracelet to show an enduring promise... or something like that. And cuz I thought it would be cute for her style.

I'm always uncomfortable giving artistic feedback because I'd never come anywhere close to how good this already is if I tried, but... Ginny's hairline is a little high, or her profile is too far to her right given where her hair is. Her sleeves are lovely, but her right upper arm is a little odd. Harry looks a tad frowny. Other than those minor details, though, it's a lovely concept and the details so far are marvelous (weaving on Ginny's clothes, the general mood of the whole scene).

Hey, just because you (not YOU) can't cook doesn't mean you can't judge whether food is good. Please do give artistic feedback anytime you have any.

Yes, I see what you mean - I'll probably move Ginny's hairline over just a smidgen. Her arm will definitely be better shaped it's just sketchy right now.

Harry IS a tad over-frowny and I expect that to come out a bit once I get to painting, but since this is actually the scene where he breaks up with Ginny, he's still going to be frowny to some extent.
