Still couldn't resist, I guess.

So I lied when I said I was going to work on some other stuff before that. NOBODY IS SURPRISED.

I love that bird. It's so smug yet oblivious, like "Yeah I'm a bird!" B)

It turns out that the most amount of modifying I need to do for this pic is on the bird, because I sure don't know bird anatomy like I do people anatomy. Especially made-up birds that are more than flying carpets with a beak. Sorry smug birdie, next time I'll draw you first!

This shouldn't take much longer (I don't want it to take much longer), depending on how much time I spare the next some days.

I turned my screen's brightness down to 1/15 and I could still make out enough details. Maybe you should just invest in something that's not a 10-year-old CRT? XP

Oh, I can make out the detail but my screen is noticeably brighter after it's been on for half an hour. One day I'll replace it with something more modern :) Tell you what, I'll have a look on the laptop's LCD screen as well...

Okay, that's very different. /me tinkers with the colour correction in the graphics driver.

Anyway, on the painting itself: like it! The only bit that really looks odd is the far side - it looked like Link had two right arms at first. Perhaps brighten the sleeve of Zelda's dress a little? The moon also seems to be bulging down and right slightly.

I do like the clouds, especially the way they curve round with all the different colours. The bit directly below the moon looks a bit dark to be a cloud - is it a bit of land poking through?

Oh, and smug bird is indeed smug. Those birds have weird tail feathers - I was going to comment that its tail looked rather thin, but I've had another look at the artwork and screenshots and apparently the Skyward Sword birds really have tails like that. Weird.

ARGH, I knew I couldn't get away without making a digital perfectly circular moon. XP

Yes, that's a bit of land that hasn't been refined yet. Because I didn't feel like it.

There are some birds that have tails something like that (http://worldbirdwatching.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/blue-bird-of-paradise.jpg), but what I find weird is that the SS birds look so... furry. Especially in the concept art (http://www.liuart.com/journal/zeldaSSart4.jpg). It's practically like a fox tail or something.

Okay, the tail on that bird is weird. At first I didn't realise that it was a tail - I thought the two long parts were plant stems, and the yellow fuzzy stuff was part of a plant or flower or something.

The tails on the SS birds look even more fox-tail-like in the screenshots (#1 and #6).
