HP Tarot thumbnails - The Empress
I was mid-way stuck on this one for a long time (since before the thumbnails dry-spell) because I think the amount of stuff to draw turned me off (and I'm not looking forward to drawing it out in full, either). Someday I will be able to put more than minimal effort into backgrounds. Someday. :\
The Empress represents nurturing, maternal energy. Molly Weasley is a clear-cut choice for this card.
Notable art bits:
1. The traditional Empress is seated before a lush backdrop, with grains of fertility and a waterfall of feminine energy. The Burrow's grounds mirror this fecund setting easily. Also, fat chickens :>
2. The Empress wears a gown covered in flowers that, um, also are feminine/fertility or something. I didn't even reference that when I drew Molly's flowered apron described in the book :P It's just a mom-print.
3. The scepter she bears is a reflection of the earthly world, and life. I was going to have her holding her wand, but that didn't seem motherly enough. Instead I gave her a ladle and put the wand in her apron pocket instead. :3
4. I pretty much only ever draw idealized figures becauseI'm lazy art is idealized. Time to break that trend with an earth-mother type figure. Might need a bit more exaggeration but I'll work on that when I do the character design/final painting.

"He's not your son," said Sirius quietly.
"He's as good as," said Mrs. Weasley fiercely. "Who else has he got?" - OotP5

no subject
She does use her wand to do lots of motherly things...

As if there's anything that Molly does that's not motherly. :P Not a particularly deep character, but she doesn't need to be.
