This is a new concept

You know, it occured to me that other people actually use their Livejournals to talk about what's going on in their everyday lives. Somehow this concept had escaped me. =P

I took the Japanese placement test last week, in hopes of testing into Japanese 4. (I figured 4 years of high school = qualified for J5, but I wanted to review a bit.) Instead, I ended up in Japanese 6. o.o The high end of J6, too - the sensei said I could actually take Japanese 100A if I spoke to the professor. But I'll pass on that. o.o [livejournal.com profile] superpan told me Genki is an easier textbook than Yookoso but I didn't think it was that... much...

Have been struggling with Housing to get me into a double room again. Pain in the ass, would rather not go into it for fear of unpleasantries. But at least it's going to happen. So I'll be going back to the dorms I was in the last two years, which is not bad.

Hm... that's it for now. Will have more to tell when more things get done after a few days, or somethin'.

How many Japaneses do you have? And how long is each class? O.o;

Good to hear you're taking the language again, though.

6 Japaneseseses and then 100A, which is literature stuff like AP level I hear. Hmm... if that's the case, would J6 be the equivalent of the end of our Japanese 4...? No wonder I tested high then...?

Is each Japanese a year-long course or just a term, or what?
