But man, totally awesome costume. Did the paint make the fabric stiff and difficult for movement?

Did the paint make the fabric stiff and difficult for movement?
Not at all. The painted parts were a bit stiff, but it only meant that the fabric didn't stretch and cling as well as it used to (especially around the knees).
