Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Wait, wait, what is this? This doesn't belong in the PoA soundtrack! It's... it's... Celtic-y and good! (4.87mb)
Not to dismiss John Williams, he had a couple of gems in the previous HP soundtracks (Fawkes' theme, Hedwig's theme, ...). But overall, those soundtracks were fairly repetitive and close to, dare I say, trite. But the PoA OST has grown up quite a bit, along with the film itself. Still, though, this particular track sounds far more at home with Lord of the Rings instead of Harry Potter... It could've come straight out of the SNES LotR game (a crappy game in every aspect except for the amazing Celtic music).
Track 9, "Secrets of the Castle", is also very lovely, in a more classic-Harry Potter way. But I won't put it up this time.
