I don't like this class. ^^;;
From my physics lab manual:
"A Dell PC with a 1.7GHz Pentium 4 processor, 256 MB SDRAM, 20 GB hard drive, CR RW [sic] drive and 3.5" floppy drive, 17" monitor is provided. The operating system is Windows XP."
And this matters to the physics lab student... why?
"For security reasons, no connection to the Internet is provided."
Because we can't risk having hackers stealing the sensitive, top-secret data acquired from basic undergrad electromagnetic labs.
"If the data acquisition program freezes due to pressing the wrong buttons, simply close the file, exit from LabView, and start all over."
Ah, the splendors of Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Never leave home without it.
And the data-taking program apparently won't save results in a format that itself will read. We had to mess with the Excel files, edit the columns, re-label things, and save them as text files before it would analyze them. Bastard. XP
Umm... and here's a pic my brother made! =)
