End-of-break report
Counting the days till I get to go back to school again. Dorms don't open till Wednesday - the day before classes start - apparently to "save energy". Bahhh.
I'm kind of questioning my ability to survive next quarter. I have my first upper-div class, and I have a full schedule of 4+4+4+2 units. Plus I want to try to get a job at the school library. Watch grades go down the drain... more ^^;;
What did I get done this vacation? Nothing at all. Certainly not art. Did a bit of writing, though, both "important" and casual. I really wish I wrote in whole chunks instead of running off to another part whenever I hit a snag in the middle of a sentence, so I could post some tangible snippets on here that aren't full of holes. But you'll just have to go without. =P
Well, I did read a lotta books, such as #2-5 of the Everworld series, which was decent, and Shelters of Stone, which was teh suxx0r. Not particularly productive towards any of my goals, but it'll be part of my cultural... enrichment... process. Right. ^^;;
I've grown... not *good*, but competent enough with Soul Calibur II. So now I can hold my own with Link, Raphael, Sophitia, Talim, and Ivy for a while. And then get 0wnzed. ^^;; People at school tend to play it on either PS2 or XBox though. Blarg, unfamiliar controller...
Edit: Oh, right, the upper-div class is a statistics course, whew. Not that I'm any good at math classes, but that's a tad more of a comfort than an upper EE class. ^^;

(Anonymous) 2004-01-05 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)Good luck with that Stanford transfer app. Do as much of it online as possible, since the admissions office is great at losing papers, as I found out the hard way last time. I wish you much better luck.
