For the record

I get such a kick whenever the dining hall serves "Hot Link Sausage."

(The "Hot Link Sandwich" isn't much better, either.)

(I never tried it though, it looks too spicy.)

You know, at at least one point in time (yes, I do believe the 'at at' was correct), intestines were used for the casing for link sausage.
Saying this almost always means more sausage for whoever says it. Good strategy.

Oh, and if I recall correctly, a hundred links equals a chain. I thought of one hundred pointy-eared heroic dudes all standing in a row when I learned that. I'm so sad.

You cannot daunt me with your intestine talk, being Chinese I have eaten all manners of organs and non-organs and whatnot. =P

Still don't feel like trying the, ah, sandwich though. But not because of intestines.
