So I'm taking a glance through the sample ballot (English and Chinese compatible) that came in the mail. They're not kidding about EVERYONE in California running for governor. Here's a sampling of what kind of people are wanting this office:

Golf Professional (D)
Used Car Dealer (I)
Air Pollution Scientist (D)
Custom Denture Manufacturer (G)
Retired Meat Packer (I)
Firefighter Paramedic/Nurse (D)
Comedian (I)
Psychologist/Farmer (R)
Adult Film Actress (I)
Railroad Switchman/Brakeman (R)
University Chemistry Instructor (NL)
Film Maker (D)
Cigarette Retailer (L)
Middleweight Sumo Wrestler (I)
Software Engineer (D)
College Student (G)

I'm not saying that any of them shouldn't or couldn't be governor. I just find such diversity fascinating (and not the less amusing).

Speaking of which, I suppose I should register to vote... ^^;
