I will do tarot readings for you!
Haven't felt like posting (or being sufficiently productive) in a while. Looking for, and starting, a new job has been pretty preoccupying. (Also Rock Band 3. XP)
Anyway, I've been doing tarot readings for random people on a certain forum for a while now to good success, and the thought has occured to me now and then that I should open it to you guys here... if anybody even takes me up on it. :P
vashka_kat inspired me to finally go through with it! So here's the guidelines!
* I ownthree four decks: Universal Waite, Shadowscapes Tarot, Tarot of the Magical Forest, and the Chinese Tarot. You are welcome to request any of those decks, else I will just pick the one I feel will answer your question best. Do note that the Chinese Tarot is good for art but not so good for useful answers, so it's the comedy option because I will do any readings with that deck in a ching-chong-wing-wong five dorrah Confucius accent.
* You can ask a specific question, regarding a topic or area of interest, or for just general outlook. I will pull 3-4 cards for you, though you can request a 10-card Celtic Cross spread if you so desire. That will take longer, however.
* My new job keeps me busier than my previous one, so the earliest I'll be able to start posting readings is Friday evening.
* You can have a look at the readings I've been doing starting here, if you need an idea of how this works. :>

1. Your situation: 4 of Swords - You're at a time where you could use some peace and rest. I also consider this a "hospital" card, so, you know ;)
2. Your obstacles: 10 of Swords - Ouch - hardships and suffering sure puts a damper on your rest and recovery. I've read your recent posts so I know times haven't been easy for you. Fortunately, though, this card is also kind of a "it's not as over-the-top bad as it seems" thing, so hopefully the worst of it is behind you.
3. Where you're coming from: 4 of Pentacles - Are you someone who is used to having a lot of control over your circumstances? A good amount of your stress probably comes from things changing and going out of the norm.
4. Where you're headed: Wheel of Fortune - You're approaching a significant turning point in your life, but where you'll land, I can't say! You may find things to be a bit out of your hands; try to roll with it.
5. Past influence: 2 of Cups - Your emotional connections (read: significant other) are a very important part of your life. I read your posts so that's evident too ;)
6. Future influence: The Emperor - rules, structure, perhaps an authority figure. Also perhaps bureaucratic stuff. Just expect to be following the rules for a while.
7. Inner influence: Ace of Wands - You're a creative person on the inside. Yyyyyyup.
8. Outer influence: 5 of Wands - There's a good deal of conflict and competition in your surroundings. It's pretty distracting - normally I would say "don't give up on coming out ahead", but compared to the rest of your cards, I feel like it would be better to try and keep out of the whole mess.
9. Your expectations: Knight of Wands - Are you hoping to be a knight in shining armor who'll solve all the problems around you? That might be a little unrealistic. However, you can still strive for that adventurous, creative spirit.
10. Overall outcome: Ace of Cups - Regardless of your troubles, though, things will be overall pleasant and emotionally satisfying for you. And uh... if it's not going too far to ask, any chance there'll be a pregnancy coming your way...?
(Maybe you'll just be working the maternity ward. Don't take it too serious! :D)

1- Yes definitely. I do work in the hospital and I do need some peace and quiet!
2 - I sort of suspected this, unfortunately. Residency is far from over, and as much as I want to escape to Aruba, I know that I'll be stuck here for awhile. It's nice to see that maybe the worst is over, as my intern year is over halfway over and I've kind of gotten the hang of it by now.
3 - Yes and no. I like to have control over my circumstances, more than I actually do. There is a lot out of my control right now, and it does really stress me out. Ugh.
4 - Very true. I'm bracing myself, but God knows what will happen.
5 - Yes, he is ;)
6 - UGGGH. Not surprised. I am enslaved to a hospital, after all.
7 - Yes... and I wish I had the time to really express it. My current life doesn't allow fir it much.
8 - I thought about this one a lot... I suppose it could apply in a few ways. There is intense competition for specialties/position in residency, to prove who is "smartest" and "best." I try to keep myself out of it as much as possible already, but I do get caught up in it every once in awhile. The other thing it could refer to is that there is a lot of conflict in my workplace currently due to personal drama and other things... I'll keep oblivious ;)
9 - I suppose this is something that every doctor struggles with. I can't make everyone better, and sometimes the only thing I can do is watch people suffer. It's awful...
10 - Good to hear. I do wonder if all of this crap/pain/annoyance is worth it. I get so frustrated/depressed sometimes. As for pregnancy... uh, well I do work with babies a lot? XD And if one happened to come my way I wouldn't be upset... So... Someday?

I don't want to pile on you when you're busy, but I'm kinda curious what my reading would come out to be. I think just a general outlook would be cool, and deck choice I'd leave to you. Thanks in advance! :)

Where you're headed: 6 of Wands - Victory, success, but a hard-won (and well-earned) one. When are you graduating, anyway? ;)
What's in your way: Queen of Pentacles - Well I know you have a tendency to take on too much and try to take care of others at the expense of yourself. :P Don't let your maternal instinct drag you down.
Overall advice: 9 of Pentacles - Take some time out to focus on refining and refreshing yourself. You have a lot of talents and skills, and you have the capability to make good use of them as long as you don't forget they're there.
This is the quick 3-card reading I promised in the post, but if you want elaboration on any specific topics, feel free to ask :)

Victoly! As for when I'm graduating... ano, ano... *hides*
Uh oh. Is the maternal thing that obvious? -_-;;
Aww. Thanks for doing this reading; it's spot-on. Now to get back to my research instead of focusing on my neverending TA jobs...

Also, if you have time, I would *love* to get a Chinese Tarot reading. XD Um... about my restlessness...?? (Is that even a proper question?)

Har, as if I wouldn't have announced it from the rooftops if it were.
Um... about my restlessness...?? (Is that even a proper question?)
Why you restless!? 10 of Cup is too much happy! If everything so good equally, nothing stand out focus.
What your problem: You take lot of problems in thinking, get worry. Don't try fight every challenge you see, or you divide too much focus.
What you do: King of Wand is confident, strong. You take area you have most strong, use for stand out and get confident.
(You know, that was actually more coherent than most readings I get from this deck. :> Lemme know if you need a kmore serious elaboration.)

So where do you work now? Hopefully still in the industry and doing things you like?
