Hey Guys

Guys guys guys

Edit: zomg hueg version straight from Nintendo's press site here (4.63MB)

In this interview, Miyamoto says "There's a reason that Link is not holding a sword in this concept art." Someone else said "And holy fucking shit. I'm calling it, this freaky looking thing acts as your Navi/Midna/guide and turns into the Master Sword." Going by the concept design here, I'd have to give that a 90% chance of likeliness. Also, she looks just like the Fairy Queen from Wind Waker, so definitely a spirit of something-or-other.

Rampant speculation from myself: This Link's hairstyle looks a lot more like OoT Link's. It'd be sweet if this were a direct sequel to the OoT continuity explaining when the "Legendary Hero's duds" started including chainmail and such fanciness. But it'll never happen. And I think Miyamoto's said that this is a new continuity anyway.

...That's where I recognise the figure from - I thought Zora at first, like Prince Ralis, but it does look a lot like the WW fairy queen. I doubt she'll turn into the Master Sword though.

Speaking of that, the lack of a sword is... strange. Every previous Link either starts with a sword, or you gain it in the first chapter of the game. Maybe this game will have hand-to-hand combat instead, or a greater emphasis on magic?

Pure rampant speculation: what if she's not just acting as a Navi, but *is* Navi having grown older/larger?

Pffft, she's the sword, man. Just look at the picture (http://i44.tinypic.com/2ui9dg3.jpg) and compare. :P As if they're going to make a MotionPlus Zelda without swordplay.
