The new Half-Blood Prince trailer is incredibly pretty. But even from a minute-long trailer I can tell the script is soullessly uninspired yet again. And that's not even going into how apparently butchered the story is. (Massive spoilers. However there are other reports with positive responses, so maybe it was just one of several test edits.) Will watch for pretty, not holding any hopes for story.

(Why does every bit of magic have to be so swishy? Apparation, the Death Mark, blah dee blah swish swoosh CLOUD FILTER RENDER.)

Is it sad that all I can think of is why would they attack the Millennium bridge? That's like... totally pointless. At least go for Tower Bridge if you want to create total mayhem.

Also hey, s'up?

I'm dum so I dunno these things, but a quick glance at Wikipedia says that the Millennium Bridge was known to be wobbly, so maybe it's more apt to be "covered up" as Muggle--hey WAIT A MINUTE. It says that bridge opened in 2000? WAY after the HP books. What now?

So yeah, hey! Who's been more dead lately, me or you? :D

Don't question it: just do what Miyamoto does and call it a paradox. XD I kind of love how the Harry Potter films are becoming like, moving post-cards for London, except with more magic. Any money says that they'll bring the Olympics into Deathly Hallows. Any money.

Very probably me- I'm filling in papers to try and convince the nice Japanese embassy peoples they want to send me out to their wonderful country and unleash me upon their unsuspecting childrens to teach English. How's things with you?

2012 Olympics in HP would be hilarious(ly awkward), good god.

Yay, Luce In Japan! I've just been doing my (soon to be ending) job and trying to finish various creative endeavors, like making Wind Waker levels in LittleBigPlanet or more chapters of Teh Fic. Stay tuned!

Does it ruin the fun to be so in the know about the special effects' technical details, or does it make it more enjoyable?

btw - if the AICN reviews are right, I hope they make some massive fixes. Die-hard fans are always difficult to please, but they're kinda upsetting this casual fan here.

It doesn't ruin it at all - I have more fun looking at what they did right or wrong. :) And I get dazzled and wowed by a good SFX just like anybody. Shinies!
