Wow. Wow.

Hey, I just remembered the (pirated ::shhhhh::) Photoshop CD Sushu lent me so long ago that I put aside because I was running only Windows 95 back then and couldn't install it. ^^;;; So now I have PS6! Yay Pen tool! Yay channels! All this time on a Limited Edition... man, what a dolt for forgetting... ::facepalm:: ^^;;

Okay, so now I can use my "Photoshop" Winamp skin and know what it's, umm, looking like. =D Elwen will know what I'm talking about. So... many... features...!

Don't worry, you're not alone. I went through all the trouble of trying to download the Java Developer's Kit online, plus JCreator (freeware!), and then got my connection cut by NetZero after 4 hrs downloading on 56K modem (stone age!!), and then had to ask Elwen to burn a copy of JDK for me, and then,...

I looked in my drawer and found that CD from APCS, and _it had JDK and JCreator all along (older version, but no prob). *sigh* Looking on the bright side, at least you didn't go buy Photoshop first and then discovered it!

>Buy< Photoshop? *foreign concept* :P

Hey, I'm still on 5.5, but I'm used to it, and I don't think I really need any of the fancy new stuff -- although being able to type text directly onto the image looks awfully convenient -- but I can get 7 whenever I want from Techers if I ever feel the need. Arr!

I haven't even installed the Dreamweaver MX I got on a whim. It just looks so fancy, even though in the end I always revert to good ol' plaintext for HTML.

yay for 5.5! Although crop and some of the text stuff is a lot easier on 6, and 7 has the Healing Brush Coolness.... but I can't handle the brush sizes on the top bar. So now I work 5.5 on laptop, 6 on house comp, and 7 at work. w00t! Much skill in the switching of keyboard shortcuts! (G vs. K for paint bucket,etc.) I still like the fact that 5.5 has brush and pencil as separate buttons. (the B and the Y!!)
