Geez, it's chilly today... if autumn keeps this up I'm gonna be darn glad that I'll be all wrapped up from head to toe come Halloween. Even in LA.

Here's that drawing of the tree I mentioned couple weeks back. I got a bit impatient by the time I got to the bottom-left corner.

And here's a random nifty site that I had to share: venomous snake pictures
Don't go if you're snake-a-phobic, obviously. But I just bookmarked the site for potential reference photos, and there's a lot of pictures of some really pretty slitheries on there. I always love the pure emerald-hued tree snakes and green mambas, and I'll never forget this one rain forest photo I've once seen with this bright yellow viper coiled around a bright red flower stalk. But my absolute favorite is this albino cobra, who looks like she's carved out of ivory. (The site doesn't provide its gender, but I think it's worthy of the White Snake of Chinese legend who took on the form of a beautiful woman and fell in love...)
