Yaaaay, they finally put it online. I don't know why they finally decided to do it now - maybe because of D23 Expo? But we're scheduled to have a longer trailer out next week with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, so this one is like virtually obsolete :P Though from what I've heard about the new trailer, it doesn't really paint the movie in a much more respectable light. JUST GO SEE IT OKAY I SWEAR IT'S NOT RIDICULOUS HIJINKS

At least now you can see for yourself how good the animation quality is! And personally I think this looks better than what I've seen in the theaters because the color timing has been kind of weird and blown out. These online clips are representative of the original color space from the images I've been seeing at work. :3

The biggest thing I can tell from the trailer: It looks like the animation doesn't fall into the uncanny valley! That's three-quarters of the battle right there. I want to see the long trailer!

You are correct! This movie has the best CG human performances I've ever seen and I think it might even beat Avatar, at least in facial animation. But I won't brag TOOOOO much - we're almost done and soon november 6th you'll be able to see for yourself!

Yeah, I'll have to see this. I'm so glad that CG humans are finally getting past the Polar Express uncanny valley range.

So on a scale of 1-10, how awesome is it that your work is in a big-deal Disney holiday release? 8?

It is pretty much a 10! I was just happy to get a job to begin with, but not only do I have a job it's a steady, well-paying position; but not only is it a good position it's in beautiful Marin; but not only is it in Marin it's a high-profile big deal release; but not only is it a big release it's one of the most beautiful and impressive animated films I've seen and I seriously think it deserves several Academy Award nominations this year at least. Despite the 16-hour crunch time shifts I'm glad to do my part to make it a little bit more perfect!
